Our Hippodrome...

The Dudley Hippodrome is a theatre in the town of Dudley, West Midlands, England. The Hippodrome was built in 1938 on the site of the Dudley Opera House, which was destroyed by fire in 1937, and remained open as a variety theatre until 1964, Throughout the 1980s it was a cinema.

He was described as "the last great music hall entertainer", and was primarily known for his live stand-up performances. A lifelong resident of Knotty Ash in Liverpool, Dodd's career as an entertainer started in the mid-1950s
